April 23 Message from Mayor Baştürkmen.

April 23 Message from Mayor Baştürkmen.

On April 23, 1920 under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's Turkey Grand National Assembly it was opened. Thus Sovereignty, that is, governance, passed from the sultan to the nation. People have ceased to be servants and have become conscious of being a citizen and self-directed.

Great Leader Ataturk, "children are the future of the nation" with the thought of April 23 National Sovereignty Day, as a gift to children. He was the first leader in the history of the world to give children feasts.

About a hundred years ago, the national will was taken from the sultan and transferred to the representatives of the nation. Fortunately, while the national will is in jail, someone is ruling the nation with wannabe wannabe. We have come to the understanding that presents feasts to children, from workers to children and from children to brides.

We want to offer our children a better future by realizing a fully independent assembly where sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation. I congratulate our National Sovereignty and Children's Day on April 23rd and the 96th anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and I commemorate the Commander-in-Chief Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with respect and gratitude. ”
