Historical mission from European business world to TOBB
TOBB was unanimously elected as the başkan permanent vice president de of the European Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES). This revolutionary decision is considered the greatest achievement of a non-EU member state.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that EUROCHAMBRES where 44 European countries are represented has a historical meaning and said that they are proud of the whole country. Kosovo's membership in EUROCHAMBRES was also applauded.
Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), has scored a major success in Europe. The European Chamber of Commerce Association (EUROCHAMBRES), before Germany, France, Italy, Spain and owned by Poland, the largest members as vice president of seats agreed unanimously to be given to Turkey since 2016.
With this decision, EUROCHAMBRES brought a non-EU member state to the same status as the major EU member states for the first time. After the unanimous decision, it was stated that this decision was a ‘revolution için for EUROCHAMBRES.
The work on the restructuring of EUROCHAMBRES was started in 2011, when the Euro crisis was felt intensely. The activities carried out since 2011 were approved at the General Assembly held on 16 October 2015. EUROCHAMBRES is currently the largest business in Europe, representing 44 countries, 1700 locations and regional chambers and 20 million enterprises.
TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu announced that he was proud of this achievement, on behalf of the Turkish private sector, this decision of the Order of EUROCHAMBRES, said that Turkey's enterprise-level integration efforts with a tangible achievement of the European economy.

On the other hand, EUROCHAMBRES would increase the number of its members and Kosovo became a member of EUROCHAMBRES with great applause.
At the EUROCHAMBRES General Assembly held in Luxembourg on 16 October 2015, the application of Kosovo's EUROCHAMBRES membership was discussed on the basis of the positive report prepared by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia for their constructive contributions and dialogue in the presentation of the report.
Kosovo, which declared its independence in 2008, considers EUROCHAMBRES membership as an important part of its efforts to integrate with the European economy. Kosovo's application was addressed at the EUROCHAMBRES Presidency meeting in September, and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was given the task of preparing a report on the issue. Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Presidents of the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo and Serbia and finalized the report.
Speaking at the EUROCHAMBRES General Assembly, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kosovo Chamber of Commerce has the capacity to assume the obligations required by the membership of EUROCHAMBRES and requested support from the delegates of the General Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce of EUROCHAMBRES. At the General Assembly, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce was accepted as a member.
