Unemployment rate realized as 10.1%
The number of those children above the age of 15 and unemployed in Turkey increased by 114 thousand persons compared to the same period last year, during August 2015 was 3 million 58 thousand people. Employment rate was 46.8%
Number of employed persons increased by 837 thousand persons in August 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 27 million 150 thousand persons and employment rate increased by 0.7 points to 46.8%.
In this period, the number of employees in the agricultural sector increased by 202 thousand, while the number of non-agricultural workers increased by 636 thousand. 22.2% of those employed were in agriculture, 19.3% in industry, 7.5% in construction and 51% in services. Compared to the same period of the previous year, while the share of services sector in employment increased by 0.6 points, the share of agriculture sector increased by 0.1 points, the share of industry sector decreased by 0.7 points, and the share of construction sector did not change.

The seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate decreased by 0.1 points to 51.3% compared to the previous period. The number of people employed by economic activity decreased by 84 thousand people in the industrial sector, 46 thousand in the agricultural sector, 10 thousand in the service sector and 4 thousand in the construction sector.
