Turkey in August 2017 was sold to 120 198 housing

housing sales in Turkey increased by 4.7% compared to the same month of the previous year in the month of August 2017 was 198 120. In house sales, Istanbul had the highest share with 18 696 house sales and 15.6%. Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 12 630 housing sales and 10.5% share, and İzmir with 6 838 housing sales and 5.7% share. Mortgage sales were 38 743 in August 2017

Across Turkey mortgage sales have increased by 6.3% compared to the same month of the previous year was 38 743. The share of mortgaged sales in total housing sales was 32.2%. In the mortgaged sales, İstanbul took the first place with 6 590 house sales and 17% share. The highest mortgage share in total house sales was Bilecik with 46.9%.

81 455 properties changed hands as a result of other sales types

Other housing sales in Turkey increased by 4% compared to the same month of the previous year was 81 455. In the other housing sales, İstanbul ranked first with 12 106 housing sales and 14.9% share. The share of other sales in Istanbul's total house sales was 64.8%. Ankara ranked second with 8 016 other housing sales. Ankara was followed by İzmir with the sale of 4 347 houses. Ardahan was the province with the least sales of 9 other houses.

56 498 housing units sold for the first time

Turkey compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of houses sold increased by 5% for the first time in general was 56 498. The share of the first sales in total house sales was 47%. Istanbul had the highest share in the first sales with 9 092 house sales and 16.1%, followed by Ankara with 4 780 house sales and İzmir with 2 837 house sales.

63 700 properties have changed hands in second hand housing sales

In August 2017, 1 684 houses were sold to foreigners

Housing sales to foreigners increased by 11.4% year-on-year to 1 684. In August 2017, Istanbul ranked first in terms of sales to foreigners with 524 sales. Istanbul was followed by Antalya with 376 sales, Yalova with 103 sales, Aydın with 101 sales, Bursa with 100 sales and Trabzon with 99 sales.

According to the nationality of the country, the highest number of homes sold to Iraqi citizens

Iraqi citizens in August bought 317 from Turkey. Iraq was followed by Saudi Arabia with 198 houses, Kuwait with 135 houses, Russian Federation with 95 houses and Afghanistan with 81 houses.
