Retail sales volume decreased by 2% compared to the same month of the previous year
Calendar adjusted retail sales volume decreased by 2% in January 2017 compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 0.6%, while non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) decreased by 1.3% and automotive fuel sales decreased by 6.9%.
When the change in non-food sectors compared to the same month of the previous year is examined; sales of computers, books and communication devices decreased by 3.1%, electrical and furniture sales decreased by 9.7%, textile, clothing and footwear sales by 5.7%, medical products and cosmetics by 0.2%, mail or internet sales by%. Increased 7.5.

Retail turnover increased by 1% compared to the previous month
Seasonal and calendar adjusted retail turnover at current prices increased by 1% in January 2017 compared to the previous month. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 2%, automotive fuel sales increased by 3.9%, while non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) decreased by 1%.
Retail turnover increased by 11% compared to the same month of the previous year
Retail turnover at current prices adjusted for calendar effects increased by 11% in January 2017 compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 11.8%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 7.3% and automotive fuel sales increased by 18.9%.
