Gross domestic product index value per capita was 53 according to SGP
Purchasing power parity (PPP) is defined as the price ratio of the defined basket of goods and services in different countries. Thus, price level differences between countries are eliminated and real price and volume comparisons can be made internationally.
European Statistical Office (Eurostat), according to PPP, explained by gross domestic product per capita (GDP) index of 28 European Union according to the results of 2014 (EU) average of 100, while the country, this value was 53 for Turkey, and under 47% of the EU average I stayed.
In comparison, the 28 EU member states, three European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries (Switzerland, Iceland and Norway), 5 candidate countries (Turkey, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Albania) and one potential candidate countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina) was included.
Among the 37 countries in the comparisons, Luxembourg has the highest per capita GDP index according to SGP with 266 and Bosnia and Herzegovina with the lowest 29. In the per capita GDP index, Luxembourg was 166% higher than the EU average and Bosnia and Herzegovina was 71% lower.

Turkey's level of actual individual consumption per capita in 2014 was 58
While the gross domestic product per capita is taken as the basis for the comparison of the development levels of the countries, the actual individual consumption indices per capita is considered as a more appropriate indicator in the comparison of the relative welfare levels of the consumers. Actual individual consumption includes goods and services purchased by consumers, as well as services provided by government or non-profit organizations (education, health, etc.).
While the level of actual individual consumption per capita average of 100 28 European Union countries, Turkey was 58 and stayed for under 42% of the EU average. Among the 37 countries included in the comparisons, Luxembourg has the highest individual consumption value per capita with 141 and Albania with the lowest 37 countries.
