722,550 tons of cow milk was collected by commercial dairies in August
The amount of cow's milk collected increased by 3.5% in August compared to the same month of the previous year.
In August, drinking milk production by commercial dairies was 95 thousand 335 tons and increased by 10.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. Cow cheese production increased by 9.2% compared to the same month of the previous year with 51,555 tons. Sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk obtained from cheese varieties with 2 thousand 426 tons decreased by 14.1% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Yoghurt production increased by 4.7% with 108 thousand 251 tons compared to the same month of the previous year. Buttermilk production increased by 60 thousand 941 tons and 1.5% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The average fat content of cow milk collected by commercial dairies in August was 3.6% and the average protein content was 3.3%.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted amount of collected cow's milk increased by 2.5% in August compared to the previous month. The amount of calf-adjusted cow's milk increased by 3.1% in August compared to the same month of the previous year.
