756 thousand 923 tons of cow milk was collected by commercial dairies in October
The amount of milk collected in October increased by 3.5% compared to the same month of the previous year.
In October, drinking milk production by commercial dairies was 140,611 tons, an increase of 7.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. Cow cheese production increased by 4.4% when compared to the same month of the previous year with 56 thousand 233 tons. Sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk produced cheese varieties increased by 166,8% compared to the same month of the previous year with 1 799 tons.
Yoghurt production decreased by 0.9% when compared to the same month of the previous year with 94 thousand 154 tons. Buttermilk production increased by 2.8% with 62 thousand 648 tons compared to the same month of the previous year.
The average fat content of cow milk collected by commercial dairies in October was 3.4% and the average protein rate was 3.2%.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted amount of collected cow's milk increased by 0.9% in October when compared to the previous month. The amount of calf-adjusted cow's milk collected in October was the same as the previous year.
