Commercial milk enterprises collected 681 thousand 487 tons of cow milk in September
The amount of collected cow's milk increased by 5.1% in September compared to the same month of the previous year.
In September, drinking milk production by commercial dairies was 105,884 tons, an increase of 9.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. Cow cheese production decreased 48% and 481 tons, down 1.4% compared to the same month of the previous year. Sheep, goat, buffalo and mixed milk cheese varieties decreased by 7.9% with 1 358 tons compared to the same month of the previous year.
Yoghurt production decreased by 1.7% compared to the same month of the previous year with 96,831 tons. Buttermilk production decreased by 3% with 54,012 tons compared to the same month of the previous year.
In September, the average milk content of cow milk collected by commercial dairies was 3.4% and the average protein content was 3.2%.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted amount of collected cow's milk increased by 2,6% in September compared to the previous month. The amount of calendered milk collected increased 7% in September compared to the same month of the previous year.
