Consumer confidence index decreased by 7%

Turkey Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey consumer confidence index calculated from the results of surveys carried out in cooperation with consumer trends, decreased by 7% in February from the previous month; The index, which was 71.62 in January, became 66.64 in February.




Expectation of households decreased by 3.1%

The financial situation expectation index of the household decreased by 3.1% compared to the previous month. The index value which was 92.17 in January was 89.31 in February. This decline stemmed from the decrease in the ratio of those who expect that the financial situation of the household will be better in the next 12 months.

General economic situation expectation decreased by 5.9%

The general economic situation expectation index, which was 95.65 in January, decreased by 5.9% and became 90.03 in February. This decrease indicates that the number of consumers expecting the general economic situation to be better in the next 12 months decreased compared to the previous month.

Number of unemployed expectation decreased by 10.1%

The number of unemployed expectation index decreased by 10.1% compared to the previous month and decreased to 66.17 in February. This decline stemmed from the decrease in the number of people expecting a decrease in the number of unemployed persons in the next 12 months.

Probability of saving decreased by 16.1%

The probability of saving index decreased by 16.1%. The index, which was 25,09 in January, decreased to 21,05 in February. This decrease indicates that consumers' probability of saving in the next 12 months decreased compared to the previous month.

The consumer confidence index calculated from the survey results can take value in the range 0-200. The consumer confidence index is higher than 100, which indicates that the consumer confidence is optimistic.
